To prepare for the comprehensive exam I spent some time rereading my notes from each course, and going over the documentation each instructor provided. I didn't do much else, and when the time came to take the exam I was worried that I hadn't done enough. I found the exam to be more difficult than the short tests, and there were certainly questions that I wasn't familiar with because I hadn't taken the courses that covered them, but when it was over I felt relatively confident that I had passed. When you get the result they only tell you whether you passed or failed; I think it would be helpful to get a score, and to find out which questions we got wrong.

As far as doing things differently...I'm not sure. I think there's more information available now than there was just a few years ago in the form of blogs and other online resources, so if I was taking the test now I would probably do more reading on unfamiliar topics. I'm not sure how helpful that is, as I'm sure you're already doing that :)

Best of luck with the exam next week, and thank you for reading my blog!Erica Boudreauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02547320024030858437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5613423631076984479.post-82884137979227506232016-02-11T10:07:24.500-05:002016-02-11T10:07:24.500-05:00Hi Erica -- As a student completing the DAS course...Hi Erica -- As a student completing the DAS courses and planning to take the comprehensive exam on February 24, I've been getting a lot of helpful information by reading your blogposts. I find that they're a good source of review for me in preparing for the test, especially the posts about courses I didn't take. I wondered how you prepared for the exam, whether you found it harder than the short tests after the courses, and what you might do differently in preparing for the test.
